A visit is about an hour
Your first hour
You see one physical therapist for the whole visit, and the same one each time.
- 01
Step 1: Welcome and goals
We ask what you want to get back to: a class, a team, a commute.
- 02
Step 2: The story
When it started, what changed and what sets it off. A parent or guardian is welcome to add to it.
- 03
Step 3: The tests
Eyes, head and neck movement, then balance and walking. Some tests may bring on symptoms for a short time, and we tell you first.
- 04
Step 4: What we found, and your plan
We explain it in plain words, with the choices and the risks, and agree a short plan for home. A note for school comes if your family wants one.
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.
